Sean Bergenheim is a former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for over a decade. He was born on February 8, 1984, in Helsinki, Finland, and began his hockey career playing for the Jokerit junior team in his hometown.

Bergenheim was drafted by the New York Islanders in the first round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2005-2006 season and played for the Islanders for four seasons. During his time with the Islanders, Bergenheim was known for his speed and physical play, and he was a valuable member of the team's penalty-killing unit.

In 2010, Bergenheim signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning as a free agent. He had a breakout season with the Lightning in the 2010-2011 season, scoring 14 goals and 15 assists in 80 games. He also played a key role in the Lightning's run to the Eastern Conference Finals that year, scoring nine goals in 16 playoff games.

After his successful season with the Lightning, Bergenheim signed a four-year contract with the Florida Panthers in 2011. He played for the Panthers for three seasons, scoring 29 goals and 29 assists in 112 games. Bergenheim's NHL career came to an end in 2015 when he signed with SC Bern of the Swiss National League. He played one season with Bern, scoring 11 goals and 10 assists in 39 games. After his season in Switzerland, Bergenheim announced his retirement from professional hockey in 2016.
