Sergei Bobrovsky is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender who has had a successful career in the National Hockey League (NHL). He began his professional career in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Metallurg Novokuznetsk in 2006. After two seasons, he moved to Atlant Moscow Oblast, where he played for three seasons before being signed by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010.

Bobrovsky made his NHL debut with the Flyers in the 2010-2011 season and quickly established himself as a top goaltender in the league. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's top rookie that season and helped lead the Flyers to the playoffs. However, the team was eliminated in the second round.

In the 2011-2012 season, Bobrovsky continued to impress, posting a 2.46 goals against average (GAA) and a .915 save percentage. He helped lead the Flyers to the playoffs once again, but they were eliminated in the first round.

After the 2012 season, Bobrovsky was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he continued to excel. In the 2013-2014 season, he won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goaltender, posting a 2.00 GAA and a .932 save percentage. He also helped lead the Blue Jackets to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

Bobrovsky continued to play at a high level for the Blue Jackets over the next few seasons, earning two more Vezina Trophy nominations in 2016 and 2017. He also helped lead the team to the playoffs in 2017 and 2018.

In 2019, Bobrovsky signed a seven-year, $70 million contract with the Florida Panthers. However, his time with the Panthers was not as successful as his previous seasons. He struggled with consistency and injuries, and the team failed to make the playoffs during his tenure.

In 2022, Bobrovsky was traded to the Seattle Kraken, where he finished out his NHL career. Overall, he had a successful career, earning two Vezina Trophies and establishing himself as one of the top goaltenders in the league during his prime.
