Shane Robinson is a former professional baseball player who played as an outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). Robinson was born on October 30, 1984, in Tampa, Florida, and attended Florida State University, where he played college baseball for the Florida State Seminoles.

Robinson began his professional baseball career in 2006 when he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth round of the MLB draft. He spent several years in the minor leagues, playing for various Cardinals' affiliates, before making his MLB debut in 2009.

Over the course of his career, Robinson played for several MLB teams, including the Cardinals, Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Angels, and New York Yankees. He was primarily used as a backup outfielder and pinch hitter, and he was known for his speed and defensive abilities.

Robinson's best season came in 2013 when he played in a career-high 102 games for the Cardinals. He hit .250 with two home runs and 16 RBIs, and he also stole six bases. Robinson was a key contributor to the Cardinals' playoff run that year, as he hit .375 in the National League Championship Series (NLCS) against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Despite his solid performance in 2013, Robinson struggled to find consistent playing time in the following years. He bounced around between several teams and spent much of his time in the minor leagues. However, he continued to work hard and remained a valuable asset to his teams.

Robinson's last season in the MLB was in 2018 when he played for the Yankees. He appeared in 25 games and hit .143 with one RBI. After the season, he became a free agent and decided to retire from professional baseball.

Overall, Robinson had a respectable career in the MLB, playing in 436 games over the course of 10 seasons. He finished with a career batting average of .221, 10 home runs, and 74 RBIs. While he may not have been a superstar player, Robinson was a hard worker and a valuable member of every team he played for.
