Steve Fireovid was a professional baseball player who played for several teams during his career. He was primarily a pitcher, but also played as a designated hitter and first baseman. Fireovid began his career in the minor leagues, playing for the San Diego Padres organization. He made his major league debut in 1981 with the Texas Rangers, where he played for three seasons.

Fireovid then played for the Milwaukee Brewers for two seasons before being traded to the Chicago White Sox in 1987. He played for the White Sox for two seasons before being traded to the Seattle Mariners in 1989. Fireovid played for the Mariners for one season before being traded back to the Texas Rangers in 1990. He played for the Rangers for two more seasons before finishing his career with the Montreal Expos in 1992.
