Steve Jordan is a former American football player who played as a tight end for the Minnesota Vikings. He was born on January 26, 1961, in Norfolk, Virginia, and attended Brown University, where he played college football.

Jordan was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round of the 1982 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a reliable receiver and blocker, and became a key player for the Vikings. He played for the team for 13 seasons, from 1982 to 1994, and was a six-time Pro Bowl selection.

Jordan was known for his versatility and athleticism, and was often used as a receiver, blocker, and special teams player. He was a reliable target for quarterbacks, and was known for his ability to make tough catches in traffic.
