Tashaun Gipson is a former American football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He began his football career at Marshall University, where he played for four years and was named to the All-Conference USA team twice.

Gipson went undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft but was signed by the Cleveland Browns as a free agent. He quickly made an impact on the team, starting 10 games in his rookie season and recording five interceptions. Over the next four seasons with the Browns, Gipson continued to be a key player on defense, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2014 and finishing his time in Cleveland with 14 interceptions.

In 2016, Gipson signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent. He played three seasons with the team, starting all 48 games and recording six interceptions. Gipson was a key part of the Jaguars' defense that helped lead the team to the AFC Championship game in 2017.

After being released by the Jaguars in 2019, Gipson signed with the Houston Texans. He played one season with the team, starting 14 games and recording three interceptions. In 2020, Gipson signed with the Chicago Bears, where he played in 16 games and recorded two interceptions.

Throughout his career, Gipson was known for his ability to read the quarterback and make plays on the ball. He finished his NFL career with 28 interceptions, 47 passes defended, and 447 tackles. Gipson was also a durable player, starting in 124 of the 135 games he played in.

Off the field, Gipson was known for his philanthropic work. He founded the Tashaun Gipson Foundation, which focuses on providing resources and opportunities for underprivileged youth in his hometown of Dallas, Texas.

In March 2021, Gipson was released by the Bears and has not signed with another team since. Despite his impressive career, Gipson has yet to win a Super Bowl, but his contributions to the teams he played for will not be forgotten.
