Todd White is a former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for over a decade. He was born on May 21, 1975, in Kanata, Ontario, Canada. White began his hockey career playing for the Kanata Valley Lazers in the Central Junior A Hockey League (CJHL) before moving on to play for Clarkson University in the NCAA.

After college, White signed with the Chicago Blackhawks as an undrafted free agent in 1997. He spent the majority of his first few seasons in the minor leagues, playing for the Indianapolis Ice, the Portland Pirates, and the Norfolk Admirals. White made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks during the 2000-2001 season, playing in 27 games and recording 10 points.

White was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in 2001 but was quickly traded again to the Ottawa Senators, where he would spend the next four seasons. During his time with the Senators, White had his most productive seasons, recording 50 or more points in three consecutive seasons from 2002-2005. He also helped lead the Senators to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2003.

In 2006, White signed with the Minnesota Wild as a free agent. He played for the Wild for three seasons, serving as an alternate captain during his final season with the team. White was then traded to the Atlanta Thrashers in 2009, where he played for two seasons before being traded to the New York Rangers in 2011.

White's NHL career came to an end after the 2010-2011 season, during which he played in only 18 games for the Rangers due to injuries. He retired from professional hockey in 2012.

Throughout his NHL career, White was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions. He played both center and wing and was often used on the power play and penalty kill. White was also known for his work ethic and leadership qualities, serving as an alternate captain for both the Wild and the Senators.

In total, White played in 653 NHL games, recording 169 goals and 303 assists for 472 points. He also played in 33 playoff games, recording 10 points. After retiring from hockey, White became a scout for the Arizona Coyotes and later worked as a player development coach for the Ottawa Senators.
