Tom Martin is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for several teams during his career. He was born on May 21, 1970, in Charleston, West Virginia, and attended the University of Southern California. Martin was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 21st round of the 1991 MLB draft.

Martin made his MLB debut on April 28, 1997, with the Houston Astros. He pitched in 12 games for the Astros that season, posting a 2-0 record with a 3.38 ERA. Martin was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in the offseason and spent the next two seasons with the team. He had a 3.86 ERA in 1998 and a 4.08 ERA in 1999.

In 2000, Martin signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a free agent. He had a career-best season that year, posting a 2.27 ERA in 73 appearances. Martin was a key member of the Dodgers bullpen and helped the team reach the playoffs. He pitched in two games in the NLDS against the New York Mets, allowing one run in 1.2 innings.

Martin spent the next two seasons with the Dodgers, posting a 3.57 ERA in 2001 and a 3.80 ERA in 2002. He was traded to the Atlanta Braves in the offseason and spent the 2003 season with the team. Martin had a 4.44 ERA in 54 appearances for the Braves.

After the 2003 season, Martin signed with the Colorado Rockies as a free agent. He had a 4.91 ERA in 2004 and a 4.46 ERA in 2005. Martin was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in the middle of the 2005 season and had a 3.86 ERA in 23 appearances for the team.

Martin signed with the Los Angeles Angels as a free agent before the 2006 season. He had a 4.46 ERA in 45 appearances for the team. Martin signed with the Cleveland Indians before the 2007 season but was released in May after posting a 7.71 ERA in 11 appearances.

Overall, Martin had a 4.92 ERA in 557 career appearances. He pitched for seven different teams during his career and was known for his ability to get left-handed batters out. Martin retired from baseball after the 2007 season and currently resides in California.
