Sojourner was a member of the Denver Rockets of the American Basketball Association (ABA) from 1972 to 1975. During his time with the Rockets, he was a two-time All-Star and was named to the All-ABA Second Team in 1974. He was also a member of the 1975 ABA Championship team.
