Zach Wiegert is a former American football player who played as an offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on July 16, 1973, in Fremont, Nebraska, and attended Fremont High School, where he played football and was named an All-State player.

After high school, Wiegert attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he played for the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team from 1991 to 1994. During his college career, he was a two-time All-American and helped lead the Cornhuskers to two national championships.

In 1995, Wiegert was drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. He played for the Rams for three seasons, from 1995 to 1997, before being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1998.

Wiegert played for the Jaguars for six seasons, from 1998 to 2003, and was a key member of the team's offensive line during their successful run in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He helped lead the Jaguars to four playoff appearances and an appearance in the AFC Championship Game in 1999.

After leaving the Jaguars, Wiegert played one season for the Houston Texans in 2004 before finishing his career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2005 and 2006. He retired from the NFL after the 2006 season.

Throughout his NFL career, Wiegert was known for his toughness and durability, playing in 151 games and starting 137 of them. He was also known for his versatility, playing both guard and tackle positions on the offensive line.

After retiring from football, Wiegert returned to his hometown of Fremont, Nebraska, where he became a successful businessman and philanthropist. He has been involved in a number of charitable organizations, including the Team Jack Foundation, which raises money for pediatric brain cancer research.

In recognition of his accomplishments on the football field, Wiegert was inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 2011. He remains a beloved figure in the state of Nebraska and is remembered as one of the greatest offensive linemen in the history of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football program.
