Starting with the Pro Bowl with Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray deleting almost all his posts on Instagram and continuing with comments from the front office about the young quarterback’s maturity reported the day of the Super Bowl, there has been drama this offseason. - It has led to a lot of offseason discussion about his future with the team and some talk that he could be traded. - However, things appear to have calmed down. - According to NFL Network’s Jane Slater, both sides have moved on from the perceived issues reported this offseason. - “I’ve circled back with the Cardinals and this has buffed itself out,” Slater said on NFL Network. “In other word, everyone is on the same page and the goal here is to move forward.” - The Cardinals issued a statement in support of Murray and their excitement for him in the upcoming season. Murray himself decried the “nonsense” that has emerged. - Slater said the team is working on how to address Murray’s contract. He enters the final year of his rookie deal and the team is “working towards exercising either that fifth-year option or getting him a long-term deal.” - The Cardinals have until early May to exercise his fifth-year contract option, which they will assuredly do, regardless of whether or not a contract extension is worked out this offseason. - “It’s my understanding everything is copacetic in Arizona and things are moving forward,” she said. - - List - - The NFL's top candidates for the franchise tag - - - - - - - Listen to the latest from Cards Wire’s Jess Root on his podcast, Rise Up, See Red.
