He also receives a signing bonus of $152,500, bringing total compensation to a little more than $1.27 million. - He was coming off a four-year, $4.15 million contract. - Salary cap implications - Brewer’s contract qualifies for the veteran benefit, so his cap hit is less than his total payout. - Instead of a cap hit of $1.27 million, his contract counts more than $1.04 million.
