The Aaron Rodgers saga is finally over, but it’s not exactly music to Bears fans’ ears. - While the door was open for a potential Rodgers trade outside the NFC North, the Packers signed Rodgers to a massive four-year extension worth $200 million with $153 million guaranteed. - That means Rodgers is under contract through the 2024 season, which means he’ll be Green Bay’s quarterback for the entirety of Bears quarterback Justin Fields’ rookie deal. - For the most part, Bears fans took the news in stride with the understanding that Chicago is going to need to find a way to finally get over the Packers hump if they’re truly going to contend for a championship. And the hope is they can do that with Fields and a rebuilt roster.
