The Chicago Bears signed another offensive lineman in free agency with former Minnesota Vikings guard Dakota Dozier. Dozier signed a one-year deal with Chicago. - Dozier, a former fourth-round pick by the New York Jets in 2014, has appeared in 76 career games, including 27 starts. He was a full-time starter for the Vikings at guard in 2020. But Dozier spent most of the 2021 season on Minnesota’s practice squad and appeared in just six games, exclusively on special teams. - This wasn’t the offensive lineman signing Bears fans were hoping for after Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Ryan Bates visited Halas Hall on Tuesday. And considering Dozier’s reputation as being “bulldozed” rather than “the bulldozer,” fans weren’t exactly thrilled with the addition.
