With the Super Bowl finished, all eyes turn quickly to the offseason and next year. The Cleveland Browns had Super Bowl aspirations coming into the 2021 season but failed to meet them. Not even close. - Instead, the Browns missed the playoffs after Baker Mayfield got injured, Odell Beckham Jr. departed the team and injuries/COVID problems popped up at the worst times. Those are not excuses but simple ways to explain how a Super Bowl hopeful ended up, instead, with the 13th draft pick. - The 2022 offseason has two major happenings: the opening of free agency with the new league year and the 2022 NFL draft. Those two things could drastically impact many teams in the league. That hasn’t stopped Super Bowl betting odds for next year. - Not surprisingly, much like ESPN’s very early power rankings, Cleveland lands near the middle of the pack with +3000 odds. Those odds give them an implied win percentage of 3.23. - The Browns are grouped together with another team, the New Orleans Saints, but slightly higher odds than the Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks. - Other AFC North rivals stand as follows as of this writing: - - Pittsburgh +5000 - Baltimore +2000 - Cincinnati +1300 - - If you believe Cleveland will have a good offseason and bounce back year in 2022, the odds could greatly benefit you. - Are you surprised at the Browns odds? Surprised at the teams they have better odds than? - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Browns Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Browns Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
