The Indianapolis Colts submitted a proposal to the league’s competition committee on Sunday in hopes to change the overtime rules as they pertain to each team’s possessions. - According to Mark Maske of The Washington Post, the Colts submitted a proposal that would guarantee at least one possession in overtime during regular season and postseason games. - This comes as no surprise considering the overtime game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. The latter scored a touchdown on the opening possession of overtime, bringing an abrupt end to one of the greatest games in recent memory. - As the competition committee meets for four days this week during the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, the Colts will need to receive 24 of 32 votes in favor of their proposal. - - Like Colts Wire on Facebook - Follow Colts Wire on Twitter - Follow Kevin on Twitter (@KevinHickey11) - - RelatedWhy the March 18 deadline is vital for Colts QB Carson WentzColts land 13th in Touchdown Wire's power rankingsAre the Colts a match for free agent DE Emmanuel Ogbah? - - List - - 9 free agent TEs the Colts should consider in 2022 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Colts Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Colts Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
