- - - The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly among the teams who are expected to trade for New York Giants cornerback James Bradberry, per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. - As the Giants usher in a new era under general manager Joe Schoen, they are reportedly looking to offload his contract to a team in need of a cornerback. The other teams to watch, according to Leonard, are the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans. - “GM Joe Schoen is expected to unload the team’s best defensive back soon, according to league sources here at The Breakers luxury resort in Palm Beach, Fla. - The Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts are teams to watch in a Bradberry trade, sources say.” - Bradberry has one more season left on his current contract. He carries a $21.9 million cap hit for the 2022 campaign. Assuming the Giants don’t eat any money, which is reportedly something they’re willing to do, the team trading for Bradberry would take on $13.4 million in base salary. - The Colts have a need at cornerback after trading away Rock Ya-Sin to the Las Vegas Raiders for defensive end Yannick Ngakoue. - While it’s more likely the Colts would draft Ya-Sin’s replacement, Bradberry would give Indy an option that’s ready to contribute immediately on the boundary. - In 2021, Bradberry allowed a 65.2% completion rate, 12.2 yards per reception, eight touchdowns and a 100.3 passer rating on 92 targets, per Pro Football Focus. - - Like Colts Wire on Facebook - Follow Colts Wire on Twitter - Follow Kevin on Twitter (@KevinHickey11) - - RelatedReport: Colts to hire Brent Jackson to coaching staffReport: Colts showing interest in LSU CB Cordale FlottColts' trade for Matt Ryan ranked 2nd among QB moves - - List - - 6 Colts who must step up for new QB Matt Ryan - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Colts Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Colts Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
