Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Ebeflus is expected to have his second head coach interview with the Chicago Bears on Wednesday, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. - While the interview was initially set for Monday, it seems those plans have changed. The Bears were expected to interview Eberflus for the head coach vacancy and Colts director of college scouting Morocco Brown for the general manager vacancy both on Monday. - But now, according to Pelissero, only Brown will be interviewing from the Colts’ side on Monday while Eberflus’s interview got pushed to Wednesday. - - Busy week ahead for the #Bears: - Monday: #Colts' Morocco Brown and #Steelers' Omar Khan interview for GM - Tuesday: #Chiefs' Ryan Poles second interview for GM, #Saints DC Dennis Allen interview for HC - Wednesday: #Colts DC Matt Eberflus second interview for HC - Heating up… - — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) January 22, 2022 - - - Eberflus was one of the first finalists for the head coach vacancy. It’s likely that the Bears want to bring in their new general manager first before deciding on a head coach so it would make sense that his interview got pushed back. - Considering the popularity he’s had this offseason, the Colts may need to prepare for life without their defensive coordinator over the last four seasons. - Like Colts Wire on Facebook - Follow Colts Wire on Twitter - Follow Kevin on Twitter (@KevinHickey11) - - RelatedRaiders request GM interview with Colts' Ed DoddsPanthers to hire Ben McAdoo as OC over Scottie MontgomeryColts' special teams unit ranked 2nd-best in NFL - - List - - 4 reasons why Carson Wentz could be back for 2022 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Colts Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Colts Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
