Was Joe Judge popular among New York Giants players? Reports that have surfaced since his termination are somewhat conflicting. - The Patriots way (of Bill Belichick way) is something that has gained respect across the league with the level of success Belichick has had. Winning six Super Bowls will do this and when the coach keeps winning the players respect the coach. - However, outside of Belichick, this type of hard-nosed coaching has not gained much traction. Judge tried to implement this coaching style with the Giants but did not find much success, finishing with a 10-23 record over his two-year tenure. - A lot of this coaching comes from the intense practice structure that most organizations do not conduct during the regular season. And Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports that it was not at all popular among the players — even those who liked Judge. - - The #Patriots style practices were not popular, even among players who liked Judge. Only got more unpopular are injuries mounted. But #Giants are among leaders in @ManGamesLostNFL since 2009. Not just a 2-year issue
