The New York Giants did a little roster tinkering on Tuesday, signing wide receiver Austin Proehl to a reserve/futures deal. - The 26-year-old Proehl, who is the son of retired NFL wide receiver Ricky Proehl, was originally a seventh-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2018. He also had a second stint with Buffalo, under both Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll, this past season. - In addition to his time with the Bills, Proehl has also spent time with the Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers. In 2020, he also made a brief pitstop with the Seattle Dragons of the XFL. - Despite all that time bouncing around the NFL, Proehl has never appeared in a regular season game. - Following the addition to Proehl, the Giants have now signed 13 players to reserve/futures deals. The entire list can be found below: - - LB Omari Cobb - OT Devery Hamilton - LB Trent Harris - TE Jake Hausmann - DE Niko Lalos - QB Brian Lewerke - DT David Moa - WR Travis Toivonen - WR Alex Bachman - RB Antonio Williams - QB Davis Webb - P Jamie Gillan - WR Austin Proehl - - Follow the Giants Wire Podcast: - Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Giants Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Giants Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
