- - - For many members of the New York Giants who watched Super Bowl LVI on Sunday night, their rooting interest was tied to former teammates — and there were quite a few vying for that ring. - The same was likely true for cornerback Jarren Williams, but he also couldn’t help day dreaming prior to and throughout the game — day dreaming about winning a ring for himself. - - I wanna play in a super bowl so bad..I ain’t ever been to a championship in my life and been playing since I was 9 - — jwill (@jarrenwilliams7) February 13, 2022 - - - For many athletes, Williams’ experience hits home. They play their entire lives but never win a title on any level, which speaks volumes about how truly rare it actually is. - While the Giants have won four Super Bowl titles and four NFL championships, they’ve endured nothing but hardship over the past decade. And since Williams was signed in 2020, the team has gone 10-23 and are now in the beginning stages of another complete rebuild. - The arrow does appear to be pointing up for the Giants, but it’s going to be a while before they round back into shape.
