There’s no way the New York Giants can keep former Pro Bowl cornerback James Bradberry this season at his current salary. Bradberry is on the books for $21.8 million for 2022, which is an untenable figure considering the Giants are wrestling to get under the salary cap. - A trade of Bradberry would be optimal but time is running out. The NFL league year ends on Wednesday afternoon and the Giants may have no other recourse but to release their top corner. That would free up approximately $13.4 million in cap space but leave them with a dead cap charge of $9.7 million this year and $1.3 million in 2023. - There is some trade interest in Bradberry, but teams might just wait for him to be cut and take their chances via free agency. - - The #Raiders are expected to pursue multiple CB's for Patrick Graham's defense in the scheme of the 4-2-5.#RaiderNation - — NFL Rumors  (@nflrums) March 12, 2022 - - - - I’m expecting the #Chargers to be players in the cornerback market. DJ indicating a few big moves on defense could be afoot.
