On Tuesday, the NFL awarded 39 compensatory picks in the 2022 NFL draft to a total of 16 teams, but the New York Giants were not among them. - As anticipated, the Giants did not receive an extra pick following a 2021 free agency period in which they signed two players that counted toward the formula and lost only one. Defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson left East Rutherford to sign with the Minnesota Vikings, while the Giants added wide receiver Kenny Golladay and running back Devontae Booker. - Booker, of course, was released for salary cap purposes in early March. - The signing of Golladay did net a reward for the Detroit Lions, however. They were given the highest compensatory pick of any team — No. 97 overall (Round 3). That also pushes back the Giants’ fourth-, fifth- and sixth-round picks. - With compensatory picks having now been awarded, here’s a full list of the Giants’ picks in the 2022 NFL draft: - - Round 1 (No. 5 overall) - Round 1 (No. 7 overall) - Round 2 (No. 36 overall) - Round 3 (No. 67 overall) - Round 3 (No. 81 overall) - Round 4 (No. 112 overall) - Round 5 (No. 147 overall) - Round 5 (No. 173 overall) - Round 6 (No. 182 overall) - - The Giants are expected to factor into the 2023 NFL draft compensatory pick formula next year. - - List - - Making the case for and against the Giants trading Saquon Barkley - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Giants Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Giants Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
