The New York Giants are back in the wilderness after winning two Super Bowls earlier this century. Under head coach Tom Coughlin, the Giants became an NFC power reeling off a stretch of above-.500 seasons from 2005-2012 with three first place finishes and five postseason appearances. - They had done it despite an unusually high spate of injuries. But beginning in 2013, the organization continued to have difficulty keeping players healthy. And combined with some poor drafts by general manager Jerry Reese, they collapsed under their own weight. - The only exception was their 11-5 finish in 2016, when — you guessed it — they managed to keep their injuries in check. - Since then, the Giants have been at the top of the league in a category called “man games lost” and it’s no wonder they’ve become bottom-dwellers, losing 10 or more games in seven of the last eight seasons. - - The New York Giants were the most injured team in the NFL this season pushing them to #1 in the number of games missed by injured players since the 2009 season
