Roberto Alomar, one of the youngest Padres in franchise history when he debuted in 1988, would later enjoy a 17-year Hall of Fame career. The second baseman slashed .283/.339/.379 for San Diego with 90 stolen bases and earned his first of 12 consecutive All-Star nods in 1990.
