The Seattle Seahawks suffered injuries to a number of their key players throughout their disappointing 2021 season. These included Russell Wilson in Week 5 and Bobby Wagner and Quandre Diggs in the home stretch, but there is also the matter of the team’s polarizing trade acquisition, strong safety Jamal Adams. - In Week 13, Adams suffered a torn labrum which ended his season and required surgery, which he had four days later. He had the same shoulder injury the previous season, but this time he found himself unable to play through it. However, Adams provided an encouraging status update on Twitter a few days ago. - - SLING OFF!! UH OH! #Prez - — Jamal Adams (@Prez) January 27, 2022 - - - Seattle acquired Adams in an all-in trade in 2020, surrendering two first-round picks and a third along with safety Bradley McDougald while also receiving a fourth-round pick. Adams initially produced strong results, but his impact has since tapered off and he made quite a few blunders this season before his injury. The trade has been exacerbated by the fact that the expended draft picks could have helped the Seahawks reload as they look to return to championship contender status. - With the four-year contract extension the Seahawks handed him, Adams is under contract through 2025. He is likely around for the long haul, so Seattle must continuously put him in the best position to succeed and he must excel when opportunities arise, starting in 2022. - - RelatedSeahawks go cornerback, left tackle in new 2022 three-round mock draft - - List - - Seahawks WR D.K.
