The Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (USFL) selected the quarterback in the first round of Tuesday’s draft at No. 6 overall. - McGough was originally drafted by Seattle in 2018 out of Florida International University – the first quarterback selected by the Seahawks since starter Russell Wilson. He then spent 2019 with the Jaguars and then the Texans until he returned to the Seahawks’ practice squad in December of 2020.
