For the first time in over a decade, the Seahawks will experience life without Russell Wilson. The team got a taste of it last year when he missed the first games of his career due to injury and the results weren’t pretty. - Despite not having Wilson for a portion of the season, the Seahawks remained competitive in his absence. Improved play from the defense, as well as major contributions from the running back stable and receiving corps kept this team in most of their games. The problem stemmed from the most important position… Seattle simply did not have a quarterback who could lead them to victories. - Currently, the Seahawks have two quarterbacks on the roster – if you don’t include pending free agent Geno Smith. Jacob Eason, and the newly acquired Drew Lock from Denver. Entering the 2022 season with those being the only options is not ideal. - With the large infusion of draft capital from the Russell Wilson deal, the Seahawks could perhaps use some of it in another trade to acquire a new starting quarterback…
