In his latest NFL power rankings, Around the NFL Writer Dan Hanzus has the Seattle Seahawks dropping down from No. 21 to No. 24 after trading quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. - - “And just like that, the Seahawks are back in the QB wilderness after a decade of shelter,” Hanzus writes. “Russell Wilson was moved to the Broncos in a blockbuster trade that changed the present and the future for Pete Carroll’s team. - “For now, Drew Lock is Wilson’s replacement, and Carroll spoke of the former second-round pick with enthusiasm last week.” - While Pete Carroll did sing Lock’s praises, he in no way inaugurated him as Seattle’s newest starting quarterback.
