Chris Johnson is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for several teams during his career. He was born on September 23, 1985, in Orlando, Florida, and attended East Carolina University, where he played college football.

Johnson was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft, and he quickly established himself as one of the league's most explosive and dynamic players. In his rookie season, he rushed for 1,228 yards and nine touchdowns, earning him the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Over the next few seasons, Johnson continued to be a dominant force on the field, setting numerous records and earning multiple Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. In 2009, he became just the sixth player in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season, finishing with 2,006 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Despite his success, Johnson's time with the Titans came to an end in 2013 when he was released by the team. He then signed with the New York Jets, where he played for one season before being released again.

Johnson then signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2015, where he played for two seasons before being released once again. He finished his career with a brief stint with the Indianapolis Colts in 2017.

Throughout his career, Johnson was known for his blazing speed and ability to break long runs. He finished his career with 9,651 rushing yards and 55 touchdowns, along with 2,255 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Despite his impressive statistics, Johnson's career was not without controversy. In 2015, he was arrested on a misdemeanor weapons charge, and in 2016, he was accused of assaulting a valet driver in Orlando.

Despite these setbacks, Johnson remains one of the most electrifying players in NFL history, and his legacy as a dynamic and explosive running back will not soon be forgotten.
