Jurrell Casey is a former American football defensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He was born on December 5, 1989, in Long Beach, California, and attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, where he played football as a defensive lineman.

Casey went on to play college football at the University of Southern California (USC) from 2008 to 2010. During his time at USC, he was a two-time All-Pac-10 selection and was named a first-team All-American in 2010. He finished his college career with 138 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks.

In the 2011 NFL Draft, Casey was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the third round with the 77th overall pick. He quickly established himself as a key player on the Titans' defense, starting in all 16 games in his rookie season and recording 74 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

Over the course of his nine-year career with the Titans, Casey became one of the team's most consistent and reliable players. He was named to the Pro Bowl five times (2015-2019) and was a second-team All-Pro selection in 2013 and 2017. He finished his career with the Titans with 493 tackles, 51 sacks, and eight forced fumbles.

In March 2020, Casey was traded to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick. He played in three games for the Broncos before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 3. In February 2021, Casey was released by the Broncos, and he announced his retirement from the NFL in September 2021.

Throughout his career, Casey was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions on the defensive line. He was also praised for his work ethic and leadership both on and off the field. In addition to his success on the football field, Casey was also active in the community, participating in various charitable initiatives and events.
