The NFL world had quite the roller coaster ride on Saturday when it comes to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, Tom Brady. - First, Brady was reportedly set to retire, but then those reports were shot down by his own father and others, and then NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Brady was indeed set to retire and the initial pushback on the report was because of timing. - Shortly after news broke of his retirement, multiple Tennessee Titans shared their reaction on Twitter, including wide receiver A.J. Brown, who doesn’t believe Brady will stay retired for long (that is, if he does retire). - - Not the news you wanted to see today but also appreciative to witness greatness. Congratulations on retirement @TomBrady - — AJ Brown (@1kalwaysopen_) January 29, 2022 - - - - When you accomplish so much over and over again and always seeking for the next accomplishment, I truly believe you can’t just walk away free from it with your own strength. I believe the game has to remove you from it. Unless he finds a new hobby, he will be back “my opinion” - — AJ Brown (@1kalwaysopen_) January 29, 2022 - - - - Real cool of @TomBrady to retire before I got a chance to get a pick off him - I’m kidding – congrats to the on a legendary career. So much respect, man. - — Kevin Byard (@KevinByard) January 29, 2022 - - - If Brady does indeed retire, he finishes as arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history. - The former New England Patriot turned Buccaneer won seven Super Bowl titles, three MVPs, five Super Bowl MVPs, was a three-time First-Team All-Pro and a 15-time Pro Bowler. - The fondest memory the Titans and their fans have of Brady comes from the 2019 wild-card game when Tennessee won, 20-13, in what was Brady’s last game with the Patriots. - Since joining the Bucs, Brady and the Titans have not met in a game the last two seasons but did hold joint practices together prior to the 2021 season. - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Titans Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Titans Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
