The Tennessee Titans reached contract extensions for both general manager Jon Robinson and head coach Mike Vrabel, the team announced on Tuesday. - Official contract details are not yet known at this time. - Robinson was hired in January of 2016 and helped the Titans go from 3-13 in 2015 to 9-7 in his first season as the team’s general manager. The following offseason, he retained his general manager position and was promoted to executive vice president. - He rose through the ranks as an area scout for the New England Patriots in 2002 before he was hired as the Director of Player Personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the 2013 season. In six years with Tennessee, the Titans have compiled a 50-38 season, making the postseason in four of those seasons. - Vrabel led the Titans to a 12-5 record in 2021, giving Tennessee their first No. 1 seed in the postseason since 2008. In four years as head coach, Vrabel has a 41-24 record during the regular season while leading the Titans to the AFC Championship Game in 2019. - Last month, Vrabel was named 2021 NFL Coach of the Year by the Pro Football Writers Association (PFWA). He is widely considered the favorite for NFL Coach of the Year at the NFL Honors on Thursday, February 10.
