The Tennessee Titans can go in several directions with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. - As the offseason unfolds, one area to keep an eye on is activity along the offensive line, specifically with regards to Taylor Lewan’s contract. - The Michigan standout has been a fixture on the Titans’ offensive line since he was selected with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2014. However, Lewan will be the first to admit that he did not have a great 2021 campaign while attempting to come back from a torn ACL, which caused other issues. - “I didn’t have a full offseason to train,” Lewan admitted. “I was really focused on my knee. My conditioning wasn’t as good. My strength wasn’t as good. My power wasn’t as good. There were a lot of things that weren’t up to my standard.” - Regardless of whether he returns to form next season or not, his contract could be a major motivator for the Titans to move on from the eight-year veteran. - Lewan is set to carry a $14.7 million cap hit next season. The Titans can cut him, retaining $1.8M in dead cap but clearing nearly $13M off the books to upgrade the roster elsewhere. - If the Titans opt to cut ties with Lewan, an offensive lineman makes a lot of sense at the end of the first round. Central Michigan’s Bernhard Raimann is someone Tennessee could target in that scenario. - Name: Bernhard Raimann - - Position: Offensive Tackle - - School: Central Michigan - - Height: 6’7” - Weight: 305 pounds - Now, we take a deeper dive to get more information on the Chippewas offensive lineman.
