The first step in the 2022 offseason for the Tennessee Titans will be deciding which players will get cut to create more cap space. After that, attention will turn to free agency, which begins unofficially on March 14 (legal tampering period), and then officially on March 16. - The Titans are up against it from the jump, as general manager Jon Robinson finds himself about $7 million over the cap. Not only do the Titans have to bring in help from outside the team, they also have 31 of their own free agents to make decisions on. - Each stage of the offseason creates a domino effect. What the Titans do in free agency will partly depend upon who they cut, and then what the Titans do in the NFL draft will partly depend upon what they did in free agency. - For now, let’s take a look at what the Titans’ biggest needs are going into the offseason, in no particular order.
