Through his first six years in the National Football League, Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has regularly put would-be tacklers on highlight reels. - The former Heisman winner’s stiff arm has become must-see television, and clips of him rejecting defenders have gone viral on social media on several occasions. - Among his notable stiff-arms victims are Earl Thomas, Josh Norman, Alex Myres, and pretty much the entire 2018 Jacksonville Jaguars defense, all of whom have tried and failed to take down the 6-foot-3, 247-pound back. - Although, if you ask him, Henry admits at least some remorse for the would-be tacklers he has rejected with authority over the years. - “I just feel bad because when they play highlights, it’s constantly on highlights,” Henry said on the Jim Rome Show earlier this week. - “I feel bad for the dudes. I’m like dang, bro…. It feels awesome at the time, I’m just like ‘dang they keep playing it’ and I know they probably see it and be like ‘why they keep playing this?’” - “In the moment, I don’t (feel bad for them),” Henry continued. “But when you keep seeing it played over again, I know they’re tired of it.” - - .@KingHenry_2 actually feels bad for the dudes he destroys on the field. pic.twitter.com/XXhA1GHVUl - — Jim Rome (@jimrome) February 11, 2022 - - - Henry’s combination of size and speed have made him a true unicorn in this league. - As former Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew said earlier this week, the NFL was spared after Henry went down with a foot injury that prematurely ended his regular season. - That said, the league should be on notice for a healthy and motivated Derrick Henry (and his stiff-arm) in 2022. - - RelatedTitans' A.J.
