The Tennessee Titans finally found the veteran receiver they desperately needed after acquiring Robert Woods in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams that only cost Tennessee a 2023 sixth-round pick. - The trade has since been made official, and Woods held his introductory press conference on Wednesday, which you can check out here. - Making this trade even better is that Woods won’t cost as much as originally thought. - His $13.5 million cap hit for 2022 has now been lowered to $10 million after the Rams picked up his $3.5 million roster bonus on Tuesday. That number could potentially be lowered even further should he get restructured. - Shortly after the trade was made official, the Titans’ social media team put out this awesome Photoshopped picture of Bobby Trees in uniform, and I have to say it looks damn good on him. - - Bobby Trees in two-tone blue @robertwoods pic.twitter.com/Mk03iC0qar - — Tennessee Titans (@Titans) March 23, 2022 - - - Does that number ring a bell? Of course it does; that was the number Julio Jones wore in his lone disappointing season with the Titans. It’s also the number Woods wore with the Rams in his final season there. - Mr. Trees switched from No. 17 to No. 2 in 2021 (he wore No. 2 at USC), and we expect he’ll be able to keep that number in Nashville. - - RelatedRobert Woods explains why he wanted to be traded to TitansTitans re-signing OLB Ola Adeniyi to one-year dealTitans watched QB Matt Corral throw at Ole Miss Pro Day - - List - - Titans 7-round mock draft after first wave of free agency - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Titans Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Titans Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
