The right tackle position has become somewhat of a polarizing topic within the Tennessee Titans’ fanbase. - Many constantly voice their displeasure about the lack of production at the position while also yelling from the mountaintop about how the Titans better not draft another offensive lineman early in the 2022 NFL draft. - Much of the disdain comes from the fact that the Titans will have taken an offensive tackle in the first two rounds for three straight years should they go that route with the 26th overall pick. - In 2020, the team completely whiffed on Georgia’s Isaiah Wilson, ultimately sending him packing to the Miami Dolphins just one year later. - They then followed that up in 2021 by selecting North Dakota State’s Dillon Radunz with their second-round pick, but there have been talks that he may be better suited at guard at the professional level than he is at tackle after a disappointing rookie season in Nashville. - One of the linemen in this year’s draft who is undoubtedly going to garner serious first-round consideration from teams with a need at tackle is Northern Iowa’s Trevor Penning. - Let’s dive right into what makes the Northern Iowa standout a possible fit for the two-tone blue.
