After the Kansas City Chiefs took care of business against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, the Tennessee Titans are now set to face the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Round. Tennessee and Cincinnati will meet on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 3:30 p.m. CT at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. The game will air on CBS and Paramount+. The other AFC Divisional Round matchup will feature the Chiefs hosting the Buffalo Bills. The winners of Titans-Bengals and Bills-Chiefs will meet in the AFC Championship Game. This is the first playoff meeting between these two franchises since the 1990 postseason when the Titans were the Houston Oilers. Interestingly enough, that was also Cincinnati’s last playoff victory before notching one this year. The last time these two teams squared off was in 2020, when the Bengals upset the Titans, 31-20, in Cincinnati. Since then, Cincinnati has made major strides on both sides of the ball and have as bright a future as the franchise has ever had after winning the AFC North. Of the four teams the Titans had a chance to face in the Divisional Round, the Bengals were the last team we wanted Tennessee to play. If both teams play their “A” game, this should be one heck of a matchup.
