With the Tennessee Titans’ season having ended in devastating fashion on Saturday, head coach Mike Vrabel addressed the media for the final time before the team rides off into an offseason that has some uncertainty. - It was no doubt a disappointing end for the Titans. After managing to win 12 games and earn the top seed in the AFC despite injuries, the Titans failed to deliver on their lofty expectations, even with the team being fully healthy. - The offense was the reason the Titans fell short, with offensive coordinator Todd Downing and quarterback Ryan Tannehill rightly taking most of the blame. - As far as Downing is concerned, Vrabel threw his support behind his embattled offensive coordinator on Monday. - “I think he’s a great coach, I think he’s a hard worker. There’s always going to be calls you’d like to have back, plays you’d like to have back,” Vrabel said. “Try to see how guys communicate with each other… are we all on the same page? Is there good communication? How did we do on third down? How did we do in the red zone? Things have to be better in all three phases each and every year, but I love the relationship Todd has with the assistant coaches and the players. We’ll all continue to improve.” - Vrabel also threw his support behind Tannehill. Check out what he had to say about his quarterback and more in his year-end presser.
